Phuket FantaSea is a Thai cultural theme park built around one evening show, Fantasy of a Kingdom. It tells Thai myths and legends on a huge stage with a cast of hundreds, elephants among them, plus illusions and stunt battles. Before the show there is a carnival village of shops and games and a buffet hall that seats thousands, and with only three show nights a week, book ahead.

Carnival Magic is a 40 acre night park from the company behind Phuket FantaSea, built at a cost of more than 5 billion baht. Its parade rolls out 88 giant floats, and the River Palace Theater, with a stage 70 meters wide, puts on aerial ballet, animatronics and gigantic creatures. The park holds nine Guinness World Records, among them the longest single chassis parade float, and its Kingdom of Lights garden glows with more than 40 million lights.

Laem Singh is a 300 meter cove of soft golden sand between Kamala and Surin, backed by giant granite boulders and palms. Since 2017 the way in has been by small local boat from the south end of Surin Beach, or on foot along the rocks in about 15 minutes. Snorkelers find fish around the rocks at both headlands, and a small Thai restaurant serves from a wooden terrace built into the boulders.
