Behind Nai Harn's sheltered white beach lies a lake where families rent paddle boats, with the colorful temple of Wat Nai Harn standing between the two. A steep climb from the beach leads up to Black Rock Viewpoint, which looks down on the whole sweep of sand. The rooftop bar at The Nai Harn hotel overlooks the bay and its islands, a breezy spot for a sunset drink.

Ao Sane is a cove of about 130 meters, ringed by granite boulders that run from the sand out into the water, reached by a narrow cliff road from the end of Nai Harn. On calm days the boulders make for good snorkeling, with the sound of the sea filling the cove. A small restaurant sits a few steps from the sand, with mostly shaded tables and a view across to Promthep Cape.

Laem Promthep means God's Cape, after Brahma, and the headland is the southernmost point of Phuket, with Koh Kaew and Koh Racha Yai out on the water. The Kanchanaphisek Lighthouse, built in 1996 for King Bhumibol's 50th year on the throne, flashes white every nine seconds and keeps a small free museum of ship lanterns inside. Beside it, a shrine to Phra Phrom is crowded with elephant statues left by people whose wishes came true.
“No tickets are required, only the magnificent sunset and sea view.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
