At night Bangla Road shuts to traffic and its 400 meters turn into a walking street of neon and bars, with music coming out of every doorway. Street performers work the crowd between the bars, and the clubs keep going long after the beach has gone quiet. At the street food stalls the vendor finds each newcomer a seat at the long tables and brings the food over.

Simon Cabaret has staged its ladyboy show in Patong for more than twenty years, in a theater built for big production numbers with sequins and feathers. The show runs about an hour and a quarter, and the cast gets through dozens of costume and scene changes, each done in seconds. Afterwards the performers line up outside for photos with the audience.
“The entire show was family-friendly, well-organized, and worth every minute.”

Jungceylon is Patong's main shopping mall, a few minutes' walk from Bangla Road and about 400 meters from the beach. It reopened in 2024 after a two-year renovation, and its fashion floors now center on a two-floor Uniqlo, with souvenir stalls and a Thai food court in the basement below. In the open-air court called The Bay, a Chinese junk boat stands in the water, and fountain and light shows play around it in the evening.
“The mall is large, modern, and very well designed, with different themed areas and plenty of space to walk around comfortably.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
