Keemala's villas hide in the rainforest above Kamala, each built in its own shape: clay cottages, canvas tents, tree houses and woven bird's nests, most with a pool. Golf carts run guests along jungle paths, past stone and carved wood, to the restaurant and Mala Spa, where treatments run alongside full wellness programs. The resort was built into the hillside with as little clearing as possible, and that work earned it EarthCheck Gold certification.
“An elegant resort nestled in lush nature and a wonderfully tranquil environment.”

Paresa sits high on a cliff above the Andaman Sea, and its two-bedroom ocean pool residences face the water with 12-meter infinity pools. Private guides run custom outings by land, sea and air, and dinner can be served at a table beside your pool. Talung Thai, the resort's Thai restaurant, serves stir-fried Phuket lobster on a clifftop terrace at sunset.

The Slate carries the industrial look of Phuket's tin mining past through every space, down to the sinks and toiletries in the rooms. There are three pools, the COQOON spa, the Tin Box kids club and eight restaurants and bars. The resort sits right beside Nai Yang Beach, about a 10-minute drive from Phuket Airport.

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
