Aum has spent more than ten years in traditional Thai healing, and cupping is the skill she is best known for at her shop in Rawai. Several of her masseuses have medical training and a working knowledge of anatomy, which they bring to sports and deep tissue massage. The gentlest treatment on the menu pairs massage with the sound of a singing bowl.

Ton Mai Spa in Rawai sets its hammam steam room and dry sauna in a garden, and its signature is the ice-bath plunge, with a rush of warmth that follows it. Between treatments guests rest on loungers by the pool with tea or coconut water. The massages work on the knots that desk work leaves in the shoulders, neck and lower back.
