The Mooring sits right on the sand at Ao Yon on Cape Panwa, and its teak-furnished bungalows look out over sailing boats anchored in the bay with islands behind them. Dogs can go into the room, out to the pool deck and down to the beach to paddle in the sea, and they may stay alone in the room as long as they don't disturb other guests. Next door, The Cove serves Thai and Western food at open-air tables under the trees, and dogs are welcome to eat there with their owners.

Cassia fits its pet rooms with a memory foam pet bed and an air purifier made for pets, and some of the larger rooms open onto semi-private backyards. Dogs can run off the leash on nature trails and jogging paths beside the lotus lagoon, and there is a dog park where they can play with other dogs. The hotel even serves pet-friendly ice cream, and pets stay free when the room is booked on Cassia's own website.

Amanpuri opened in 1988 as Aman's first resort, and its Thai pavilions are linked by raised walkways through a coconut grove on a peninsula of its own above Pansea Beach. One pet up to 7 kilograms can stay at no extra charge, and cats are as welcome as dogs. The resort keeps a private garden for morning walks with a pet, and food and water bowls are set out for four-legged guests.
