The 25 meter outdoor pool at Saphan Hin belongs to the city's waterfront sports park, and early in the morning its lanes fill with Phuket Town locals doing laps. A swim costs very little. Afterward the park around it carries on, with joggers, cyclists, volleyball games and families picnicking on the grass as the evening cools.

PAC is a covered 25 meter lap pool and the base of a swim club that coaches children from first lessons up to competition level. The water stays quiet through the morning and early afternoon, until local kids arrive after school. One entry ticket covers the whole day, and the small Thai kitchen attached cooks an inexpensive plate of krapow.

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
