Keemala's pool villas climb the rainforest slope above Kamala, each built in the style of one of four imagined Phuket clans. There are domed tents, two-level tree houses, thatched clay cottages and woven bird's nest villas hung among the trees, some with round wicker beds under mosquito nets, and at night lanterns light the paths between them. The Mala spa offers traditional healing treatments, the kitchen grows much of its own produce, and the Michelin Guide gives Keemala two Keys.
“The villa was stunning, private, and beautifully designed, surrounded by nature and breathtaking views.”

Clear kayaks float on the winding lagoon pool at Panwaburi Beachfront Resort, the leafy scene that made this five-star hotel famous on Instagram and TikTok. Up on the roof, an infinity pool and the Roof Bar look out over the Andaman Sea. A short walk away lies Ao Yon, a quiet beach on the Panwa peninsula where guests take out the hotel's paddle boards.
“The resort is absolutely beautiful, with a unique design and gorgeous pools that create such a relaxing atmosphere.”

Pacific Club Resort's SkyPool runs about 30 meters across the eighth-floor roof, open day and night, with tables set in the water and views over Karon Beach and the Andaman Sea. Guests get free use of a Chinese herbal steam sauna and a heated hydrotherapy jacuzzi with strong jets that fits ten people. Saneha, the restaurant, cooks Thai dishes alongside pasta such as tagliatelle with olives and grilled vegetables, and breakfast adds Thai congee to the egg station.
“It’s a small resort and that what makes it magical.”

Dinso is built into a forested hillside in Patong from reclaimed wood, old zinc, railroad ties, and natural stone, shaped by wabi-sabi, the Japanese idea of finding beauty in what is aged and worn. Its private pool villas, tucked among the trees, give guests a peaceful hideaway minutes from Patong Beach. Guests rave about the generous breakfast and about staff who go out of their way to make every stay feel special.
“The property itself is stunning, the nature-integrated design is beautiful, and the private villas offer a perfect, peaceful escape.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
