Hot yoga is the heart of Yoga Republic at Blue Tree Phuket in Cherng Talay: the 26-posture sequence with pranayama breathing, in a studio held at 38 to 39°C by far-infrared heating. Regulars who know the sequence can take Silently Hot, which leaves out the spoken cues, and HHIP 50 is a 50-minute high-intensity Pilates mat class. Fusion Flow, in the unheated room, mixes Vinyasa with Iyengar and Yin for anyone who wants a long practice without the heat.
“The studio is absolutely immaculate, clean, well-maintained, and has a very calming atmosphere the moment you walk in.”

Yoga by Niti is the yoga studio and healing center of its founder, who teaches physical health together with mental and spiritual health as one practice. Her crystal bowl sound meditation sessions are small and get booked almost as soon as they open. Green Eats, a vegan restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, shares the space, and visitors who write before their trip can ask her to set up a group class on Nai Harn Beach.
“Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga are also offered”

Traditional Ashtanga Yoga Shala Phuket teaches Ashtanga in the traditional Mysore style, with daily self-paced Mysore practice and led classes in a clubhouse studio inside a residential park. Rich Harding and Sofya Linkova teach every course themselves, with guest teachers on some, and courses are kept to ten students. Beyond its 200 and 300 hour teacher trainings, the shala runs yoga therapy and a water fasting program, and its pranayama curriculum has grown into an online school called Prana Integrity.

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
