The Shore is the adults-only, pool villa side of the Katathani Collection on Kata Noi, the small bay just south of Kata, and each villa's own pool looks out to sea and the sunset. Buggies carry guests between villa, lobby and sand, and breakfast is laid out overlooking the beach, with a barista who pulls a serious cappuccino. Couples often book it for a honeymoon or an anniversary.

Beyond Karon takes only guests over 18 and puts no more than two in a room, which keeps its corner of Karon Beach quiet. The freeform pool has a swim-up bar, the rooms look out to sea over tropical gardens, and the Kanda Spa does Thai treatments for couples. The resort also plans beach weddings, and it sits between Kata and Karon, so both beaches are an easy walk.

Chanalai Romantica is an adults-only resort in Kata, a short walk up from the beach with restaurants and shops all around it. The higher room categories open straight onto the pool, rooms come with a bathtub, and there is a pool bar. Staff mark birthdays with room decorations and a cake, and arrivals start with an ice cream and a cold drink.
