The resort sits on a quiet cove of white sand in thick tropical gardens. Children get a water playground with slides and spray jets, a kids club run by dedicated staff, and a family pool near the Nahm Tok pool with its waterfall. Rooms are spacious, with warm wood, turquoise accents and big balconies, and The Rum Shack bar sits on the sand.

La Flora is one of the few hotels in Patong built on the beach side of the road, so guests step from the grounds onto the sand at the calmer north end of the bay. Low two-story buildings face each other across a pool long enough to swim proper laps, and each villa has a plunge pool inside its own walled garden. The Surface, the rooftop restaurant and bar, looks straight out across Patong Bay.
