The Neighbors Cafe is one of the busiest cafes in Phuket Old Town, in a Sino-Portuguese shophouse on Phang Nga Road done up with bright tiles and vintage furniture. Breakfast is served all day, and cocktails share the menu with the coffee, so brunch can run into a long lunch. The coconut latte is the house specialty, and gluten-free pastries sit beside the Nutella French toast.
“Nothing better than to start your day with a hearty breakfast in the coziest cafe in Old Town!”

Boonrat Dim Sum has been steaming breakfast in Phuket's Old Town since 1917, and the fourth generation of the same family runs it today. More than 50 kinds are made fresh every day from family recipes, and diners point at what they want from bamboo baskets, from pork and garlic siu mai to steamed pork buns and stewed pork ribs in spicy sauce. Strong Chinese tea comes with the meal, and the family has since opened a second branch and a sibling, Boonrat Gold, on Chaofa Road.
“One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Phuket.”

Roti Chaofa has served Thai Muslim breakfasts on East Chaofah Road since the 1980s and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The dough is stretched thin in the open kitchen and cooked golden on a hot grill, then served shredded for dipping into goat, beef or chicken curry, with condensed milk on the side. Egg and banana roti, a Thai-style biryani with fried chicken and a clear, tangy beef soup fill out the menu, and the most popular dishes sell out early.
“Everything tasted homemade and full of flavour.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
