Pamookkoo is designed around an ancient civilization the resort calls Pamookkoo, and its Adventure Pool has a water slide four stories high. Staff stand at each slide station, and younger children have the Kids' World activity center and a children's pool. Mookkoo Nest puts on buffet nights with a live band, and the beach is a few minutes away.

Novotel Kata Avista has a separate check-in for children and two indoor kids clubs, including the Little Ocean Kids Club. A splash area sits near the restaurant, and children can rent underwater scooters in the pool. Parents get a swim-up bar, cocktails at the Canopy Bar and live music on some evenings.
