The Luna Hostel sits about an eight-minute walk from the Phuket airport terminal, close enough to stroll over for an early flight. Breakfast is included, and guests who land early can leave their bags and wait by the pool until the room is ready. Mai Khao Beach is a seven-minute walk away, and about 20 minutes on foot brings you to the spot where planes pass low overhead as they land.

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
