Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Nai Yang Beach is close to the airport and far from the island's crowds, which makes it an easy first or last stop on a longer trip. Rooms that open straight onto the pool suit families with small children, and loungers are easy to find. Dinner and drinks are at Big Fish, the resort's restaurant and bar, and the breakfast buffet is varied and well presented.

Naiyang Park Resort sits beside the national park at Nai Yang, across the road from the beach, and is built like an eco-lodge, with terra-cotta roofs over wood and stone. Raised wooden walkways lead through the gardens to bungalows whose bathrooms are finished in natural stone and teak. The large, deep infinity pool is made for swimming laps, and guests can borrow bicycles to ride through the park.
