Navatara is built in a Thai Art Home style, with authentic Thai architecture and handcrafted teak furniture in every room. Each room opens onto a terrace or balcony, most facing the saltwater pool and gardens, and the Pool Access rooms step straight down into the water, which stays open around the clock. Free shuttles run to Nai Harn Beach, the Rawai seafood market and the Promthep Cape sunset point, each about five minutes away.

Stay Wellbeing & Lifestyle Resort is built for fitness and wellness travelers more than beach holidays, and it centers on a three-floor gym fitted with Life Fitness equipment, with daily group classes in HIIT, yoga, Muay Thai and spinning plus an outdoor obstacle course. Recovery runs from a cold bath and floating therapy tanks to a clinic offering physiotherapy and cryotherapy, and LeSpa by STAY has a sauna and steam room. The resort grows organic vegetables, keeps 400 hens and bottles its own water on site.

The Vijitt began in 1975 as Vijitt Bungalow, ten beachfront huts built from wood and bamboo left over from the tin mining business, and the present resort opened in 2008. Its villas sit among the rubber trees and coconut palms kept on the land, and some have private plunge pools. A multi-tiered infinity pool looks out over Chalong Bay, and Baan Vijitt serves Thai dishes among antique furniture in a Sino-Portuguese house with a tiled roof and wooden shutters.
“the whole place is like taken out of a fairytale.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
