Kiteboarding Asia is an IKO affiliated school with more than twenty four years of teaching and five centers around Thailand, two of them in Phuket. Its Rawai base works year round on a shallow bay where students can stand for about a kilometer out, and its Nai Yang base opens from May to October. Students learn kitesurfing, wingfoil and efoil with radios for instruction on the water, and owner Fred also runs a shop and repair center.

“Tobi, James and Tom have helped me a lot and made the whole learning experience great.”
Kite Zone has taught kitesurfing in Phuket since May 2008, run by Dave and Natalia from bases at Rawai and Nai Yang. It is an official distributor for Ozone and Crazyfly, so the rental fleet is current gear, and private lessons can run with a boat in front of Lon Island. The school has a relaxed community feel that suits intermediate riders, and it also runs group IKO courses, dryland kite training and kite yoga.

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
Award badges
Each business in the top 3 can show its Phuket Ranked award on its own website, free of charge. Ask and we will send the badge and add it for you.
