After Beach Bar is a rustic wooden bar on the hillside above Kata Noi, with an open terrace looking straight down over the bay, and it fills up at sunset. Reggae plays inside, and the walls have wagon wheels, plank shelving and Jamaican flags next to the Thai ones. The Mai Tai is served in a pineapple, and the kitchen fries fish in three flavor sauce.

Art Space is a small family run cafe and music bar, and the paintings on the walls are by the owner's wife. Rock plays late into the night, and the owner will stop by to check the music suits your table. The kitchen does burgers, butter honey wings and Thai dishes, with plenty of vegan choices, if you're stopping in after a night out in Kata.

Heaven's rooftop deck looks over three bays, Kata Noi, Kata and Karon, out to the Andaman Sea. People come up for sunset cocktails, when the deck faces right into the light, and stay for dinner as it gets dark. The kitchen cooks local seafood the traditional Thai way, and prices are casual.
