Madame Bar is a small French run bar on Wiset Road in Rawai, said to be the first French bar in the area. The owner and his Thai partner are friendly and happy to give advice on visiting Phuket. Drinks are cheap, and it is a quiet place to sit.

Freedom Bar is an orange fronted pub a few steps from Rawai Beach. It has two pool tables and a big screen for live sport, and some nights a live band plays to a mix of expats and travelers. The kitchen does kebabs and wraps for after a few beers.

Nikita's is a beachfront restaurant and bar on Wiset Road at Rawai Beach, running for around 20 years. It serves wood-fired pizza, Thai food and fresh seafood, with a beach bar attached. Tables sit at the water's edge under big shady trees, so a sea breeze keeps it cool on hot days, and the pizzas are big enough for two.
