Captain Paul Chappell, a professional pilot for more than 23 years, runs Simba Sea Trips with Andrea Chappell, and each boat takes no more than 18 adults. The Phi Phi Sunrise tour leaves the marina at 6 am and reaches Maya Bay around 7:15, about an hour ahead of other operators, while the beach is still empty. After seven stops the group comes back for a sit-down buffet lunch at the Soho Pool Club, and the company won Viator Experience Awards in 2024 and 2025.

This speedboat tour, run by Oh-Hoo, adds Koh Khai Nai to the Phi Phi loop and ends the day with an hour in the water there. Before that come Phi Phi Leh, Monkey Beach, Pileh Bay and Maya Bay, with an hour for lunch at Ton Sai on Phi Phi Don. It is a long day of eight to nine hours, and from August through September, when Maya Bay is closed, the boat stops offshore for the view.
