Kee Sky Lounge is a rooftop bar on the sixth and seventh floors of The Kee Resort & Spa, built to look like a luxury yacht with sleek wooden decking. The lower deck works as a city lounge around a circular bar, and the upper one is laid out as a ship's sun deck, with double sunbeds and a rooftop jacuzzi. Bartenders pour ice ball cocktails and a signature Coco Cloud, and an open kitchen cooks Mediterranean and Thai tapas.

Andaman Sky Lounge sits on the 19th floor of one of the few towers in Patong, where a height limit on most buildings leaves its view of the bay wide open. The front counter faces the sunset over the water, while the side terrace looks back over the hills to Doi Thepnimit temple, tucked among the trees on the mountain. A live band plays indoors each evening, and the Thai tapas include deep-fried prawn cakes and fried rice served in a pineapple.
“For me the best place in patong for sundown dinner or have a drink.”

Sizzle sits on the hillside roof of the Avista Hideaway above Patong, and the whole terrace looks out over the Andaman Sea and the forested hills. The grill is the centerpiece, turning out Australian wagyu tenderloin and an Okayama black bean tenderloin. Starters run to a Japanese-Peruvian hamachi tiradito and a chilled crab salad gazpacho.
“An absolute gem of a restaurant in Phuket with magnificent views and a lovely atmosphere.”

Patong Sunset View sits in the hills about ten minutes' drive above Patong, with an open panorama over the whole bay and town. The kitchen cooks Esan dishes from Thailand's northeast alongside Thai food, Italian plates and burgers. The seats facing the sunset are booked early, and after dark the view turns to the lights of Patong.
“This view has to be seen, words and pictures aren't enough.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
