Sipping Tiger is hidden off the hillside lobby of the InterContinental Phuket in Kamala, designed as a tiger's cave deep in the forest with rattan walls and woven lamps under dim light. Herbs such as Thai basil and Lao coriander grow in a glass room inside the bar, picked fresh for the drinks. Bar manager Kim Kunawut Wongruen, twice a finalist in Diageo World Class Thailand, mixes drinks like Den It Again with Chalong Bay Rum made from Phuket sugarcane.

Pine Beach Bar is a beachfront bar and restaurant at the InterContinental Phuket Resort on Kamala Beach. It serves pizza, Thai dishes, burgers and cocktails, with a DJ, live music and a fire show on the beach in the evening. It is a calmer alternative to the bigger party clubs along the bay.
