Bikago has rented Honda and Yamaha scooters since 2014, and its eight bases include Krabi and Chiang Mai, so riders moving on can rent from the same company. It asks for no passport and no cash deposit, and damage liability is capped at a fixed excess. Every bike is fully serviced between rentals on a fixed schedule and handed over with a full tank, and an English-speaking team answers roadside calls around the clock.
“Every rental includes two sanitized helmets and comprehensive insurance options.”

Cheap As Chips Motorbike Rental is an Australian-owned scooter shop that has been renting bikes for 16 years. Its late-model automatics run from Honda Click 125s and 160s up to the ADV and Forza 350 maxi scooters. The shop keeps only a photocopy of the passport and license, and it takes bookings on WhatsApp with nothing paid upfront.

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
