The Library is the old town's late cocktail bar, and on most nights the room is full by eleven, so get there by half past ten if you want a seat. Bartenders work the bar with fire and flair, a violinist sometimes plays over the DJ, and the list runs from the classics to molecular cocktails. Behind the bar, a second room runs as a small club.
“Amazing interior design, great bartender, really good DJ mix.”

Bebop is a jazz bar on Yaowarat Road in Phuket Old Town, with seats inside and a small terrace over the main street. A house band plays jazz, soul and blues and there's no cover charge, but each guest is asked to order a drink. It moved recently to a bigger place, so now there's room to dance.
“We highly recommend this quiet and intimate place to unwind after dinner.”

“It is the most grown-up night out in Phuket Town, and one of the busiest.”

The Fool is named for the tarot card that stands for a leap into the unknown, and if you would rather not choose from the menu you can draw a card and have the bartender make the drink it points to. Each fruit and flower in the glass is picked for its meaning in mythology and dream lore, and the house Fool arrives in a black glass lined with copper, a fizzy mix of gin, vodka, sparkling wine and carrot punch. The bar fills a renovated three-story building in the old town, with more secluded red banquettes upstairs, and bartenders from top Asian bars drop in for guest shifts.
“Overall The Fool is a great hidden gem speakeasy-style bar.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
