La Gritta has served Italian food at the Amari resort since the early 2000s, from terraces on several levels looking straight out over Patong Bay toward the sunset. The kitchen rolls its own pasta, serves Italian cured meats and gnocchi with spare ribs and sausage, and cuts a roughly one-kilo Australian Tomahawk for sharing. The terraces step down to a deck at the water's edge with a panoramic bar above, and the tables on the deck sit at the waterline.

Acqua is an Italian fine dining restaurant where chef and owner Alessandro Frau cooks with imported produce such as Sicilian red prawns and Puglian burrata, and keeps butter and cream out of his savory dishes. His tortelli il mare pairs burrata with squid ink, sea urchin and marine plankton, served in a room of clean lines and futuristic design. The cellar holds more than 550 labels and has won an international wine list award every year since 2010, and the Michelin Guide lists the restaurant.

Chef Gianni cooks La Gaetana's fettuccine with tomato sauce and crab meat from a family recipe from Campania, and the kitchen makes its own pasta and sourdough, with the gelato and limoncello made in house too. Most ingredients are imported from Italy for a menu of southern Italian classics, and Gianni comes to the table to help with the wine, as he and his wife have done for more than twenty years. The Michelin Guide lists the restaurant, which has six tables, so book by calling directly and check ahead in summer, when Gianni takes his yearly holiday.
