Takieng, the Thai restaurant at Renaissance Phuket Resort and Spa, takes its name from the Thai word for lantern and cooks Southern Thai and Phuket dishes from local ingredients. Chef de cuisine Kitja Muakin, known as Chef Ja, trained at Dusit Thani College in Bangkok and draws on his mother's cooking. The signature is a whole sea bass, deep fried and served with tamarind sauce, eaten at tables behind wraparound windows that face the sea at sunset.

Sand Box is a casual beachfront bar and restaurant on the sand at the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa on Mai Khao Beach. The menu covers cocktails, pizza, pasta and grilled dishes, served with the sea in front of you. It is open to non-guests, so it works as a lunch or sunset stop for anyone on Mai Khao Beach.
“The food is delicious. The staff is very attentive; all the waiters provide top-notch service.”

Toh Daeng is a restaurant in a Sino-Colonial manor built in 1936, and its name means red dining table, after the one that runs the length of the kitchen wing. The fourth generation of the family cooks Phuket Hokkien food from their great-grandmother's recipes, including a Peranakan fish curry handed down for two centuries and a rambutan red curry with grilled pork neck. The Michelin Guide has awarded it a Bib Gourmand every year since 2021, and the entrance fee to the house museum goes to a local school.
“Especially the 100-year recipe prawns with crispy noodles.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
