Baba Nest is the rooftop bar of Sri Panwa, a square deck at the resort's highest point with a pond of water running all the way around it. The view takes in nearly the full circle, from Panwa Bay out to Phang Nga Bay and back over the hills of Phuket. Seats are few and tables book up days ahead, and outside guests spend at least 2,000 baht each on wine, Champagne and a short Mexican tapas menu.

Akoya Star Lounge sits 55 meters above the sea on the roof of V Villas at Cape Panwa, with views all the way around over the ocean and, after dark, the night sky. Its look takes its colors from the iridescent sheen of the local Akoya pearl, and a live DJ plays as the sun goes down. The cocktails are the bar's own creations, and the tapas menu works through regional Thai flavors.

The Sundeck sits high above Kata Noi Beach near the Karon viewpoint, and from the hill the water below shows turquoise in the afternoon before the sun sets across the sea. The kitchen runs from pizza and a wagyu burger to salmon with mango salad and a Thai pad kaprao. The same seats work for a midday coffee with the view or cocktails to music as the sun goes down.

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
