Chom Chan, in the Michelin Guide since 2019, is the quieter sister of One Chun in Phuket Town, and its signature is a coconut crab curry with wild betel leaves, thick with crab meat and eaten over rice noodles. The southern curries are cooked properly spicy, while the moo hong, Phuket's braised pork, is dark and peppery with a soft sweetness. Dishes come in small portions, so plan on ordering several to share.
“We have been twice and the food is super high quality and cooked to perfection!”

“Every dish has its own unique taste. Nothing was repeated.”
Piset is a seafood restaurant in Phuket Town where crab comes several ways, from steamed with roe to crab meat fried rice, in dishes large enough to share. The name means extra in Thai, a nod to the portions, and the young Phuket crowd comes in groups and shares. Khun Praew, from one of Phuket's old families, runs it, and dessert can be a pink milk bingsu shaped like a dog's face.
“Best crab meat in Phuket Town.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
Award badges
Each business in the top 3 can show its Phuket Ranked award on its own website, free of charge. Ask and we will send the badge and add it for you.
