Keemala's pool villas climb the rainforest slope above Kamala, each built in the style of one of four imagined Phuket clans. There are domed tents, two-level tree houses, thatched clay cottages and woven bird's nest villas hung among the trees, some with round wicker beds under mosquito nets, and at night lanterns light the paths between them. The Mala spa offers traditional healing treatments, the kitchen grows much of its own produce, and the Michelin Guide gives Keemala two Keys.
“The villa was stunning, private, and beautifully designed, surrounded by nature and breathtaking views.”

“The food was fantastic and had so much options both at the restaurant and in villa dining.”
Amanpuri was the first resort Aman ever opened, and its spa sits in a row of pavilions that step down the hillside above Pansea Beach. Treatments draw on Thai healing traditions alongside modern medical science, and the twelve treatment rooms are joined by saunas and a cold plunge pool. Guests staying longer can follow a Wellness Immersion, a program of several days built around one goal such as fitness or detox.
“Faultless attention to detail, genuine warmth, and one of the most welcoming experiences I've had.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
Award badges
Each business in the top 3 can show its Phuket Ranked award on its own website, free of charge. Ask and we will send the badge and add it for you.
