Jouet D'Art is the waterfront cafe of My Beach Resort on Ao Yon, mostly a glass house with floor-to-ceiling windows so the sea is in view from every seat. The room is done in a dainty French style with soft jazz, and the counter turns out specialty coffee, French croissants and fruit tarts. The signature iced coconut latte and a grilled seafood platter carry people from laptop afternoons through to golden hour over the water.

Tarzan Sea Side Cafe cooks Thai food at low prices, fried rice and chicken wings among it, and the smoothies are as much of a draw as the coffee. After eating, people move to the beanbags along the edge of the slope, where the sea shows through the trees. The cafe sits on a forested hillside beside a rope park.

From the upper floor of Lae Le Cliff, a two-story coffee shop on the Pha Lae Lae headland, the view runs across the Andaman Sea to the islands off Cape Panwa. The menu sticks to coffee and pastries, a banana cake among them. Visitors who want to stay longer can rent a tent and sleeping bag and camp on the hill, which faces the sunrise.
