Torry's turns traditional Phuket desserts into ice cream inside a pastel pink Sino-Portuguese shophouse on Soi Romanee, the lane off Thalang Road. Its Bi-Co-Moi sets coconut milk ice cream on warm black sticky rice in a traditional brass bowl, which the staff wash for you to take home. Other flavors come from the local pepper cookie and from goat milk, and A-Pong, the Phuket crepe, is served with a scoop.

Wanlamun has served Thai sweets on Phuket Road for decades and is the most popular Thai dessert restaurant in Phuket Town. The illustrated menu covers the walls, and the ingredients sit on counters out front so each bowl can be made up to order. Oh-aew, the Phuket iced dessert of banana jelly and red beans, is on the menu next to bua loi, rice-flour balls in sweet coconut milk.
“Light, comforting, and perfect after a meal.”

Devas' Lounge is the lobby lounge of the InterContinental Phuket Resort at Kamala. It is known for afternoon tea and a counter of more than twenty cakes, with banana and salted caramel the most popular. Thai coffee and a long tea list come with recommendations from the staff.
“Perhaps the best pastry shop in all of Phuket, a must try! Staff as always attentive and friendly.”

Be Sweet is a gelato shop on Phuket Road in Old Phuket Town with seats at the back, out of the sun. The counter includes dairy-free flavors, and the staff encourage you to taste as many as you like before choosing. The cheesecake flavor suits people who prefer a dessert that is less sweet, and the shop also pours soft serve in vanilla and strawberry.
“I recommend the Hazelnut flavour, Rum Rasin, and Biscoff.”

Ang Ku is the tea house of the Proud Phuket hotel in Nai Yang, an ornate room with jazz playing and tables outside. Its Peranakan high tea set pairs blended teas with Phuket sweets that are hard to find in other hotels, alongside savory bites such as fried betel leaf with shrimp. The kitchen also cooks full Thai meals, including a curry served inside a fresh coconut.
“We ordered the Peranakan tea set and it was absolutely delightful.”

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
