Go Vegan is a fully plant-based cafe in Rawai with its own yoga studio. Its vegan Thai dishes are the standouts, a creamy khao soi with crispy noodles and a rich massaman curry among them. Breakfast brings smoothie bowls and tofu scramble, and the chocolate cake has a following of its own.

Rawai View is a Thai restaurant in a thatch-roofed, open-sided wooden house at the water's edge under tropical almond trees. The kitchen cooks Thai food at full strength rather than toning it down for visitors, and the seafood, lobster included, comes fresh and in generous portions. Folk musicians play in the evenings, and a short list of wines goes with the fish.

Almost every dish at Stay Green Café, inside the Stay WellBeing resort in Rawai, lists its macros and calories, a help to anyone eating around a training plan. The kitchen leans toward vegetarian and vegan cooking, from poke and protein bowls to a mackerel and beet salad and a sugar-free soft serve. Smoothies and green juices can be boosted with spirulina or hemp protein, and takeaway goes out in biodegradable packaging.

How the points work
We read every independent published best-of list we can find for the question. Each list gives 10 points for first place, 9 for second, down to 1 for tenth, and 5 points to each place on a list with no order. Points are added up. A business must be in the top 10 of at least two lists to be ranked. Rankings are never sold. Full method.
