On Tuesdays and Fridays, Karon's market sets up in the grounds of Wat Karon as the heat of the day fades. Stalls sell Thai-style bags and sarongs, and among the souvenirs are soaps shaped like flowers. The temple buildings rise behind the stalls and make a fine backdrop for photos.

Karon Bazaar is a large covered market on Karon's beach road, between the Woraburi and Mövenpick resorts, under a corrugated roof strung with neon lights. Its stalls sell beach gear and souvenirs, and prices are open to bargaining. Small bars and snack stands along the front keep going after dark.

Siam Herbal is a long-established Thai medicine shop in Karon Center, selling the herbal mixtures and natural spa products that traditional Thai medicine has used for centuries. The shelves hold a wide range of coconut oils, alongside body scrubs made with coffee. Its herbal remedies are made for everyday ailments, from upset stomachs to skin irritations.
